description
Looking deep into a murmuration, the swiftly-flapping wings of the birds blur against the bright sky. Below, on the ground, small flowers stand out against the darkness.
Gaia takes its name from the hypothesis by James Lovelock and Lynn Margulis, which describes the heart as a single superorganism in which living things and the rest of the planet establish a self-regulating equilibrium that then ensure the survival of the whole.
The series comprises diptychs, composed of two photographs of natural elements that Llorens found in his local environment. The two individual elements are brought together to make a third image, which is a harmonious whole.
